What is the Official Mexican Standard NOM-051 and how does it work?
It is a standard that has been modified and requires new general labeling specifications for prepackaged food and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as commercial and health information, modified on March 27, 2020.
What changed in the packaging...
The front batteries were removed, and stamps of Excess sugars, Excess calories, Excess trans fats, Excess saturated fats and Excess sodium were placed, the legends "CONTAINS CAFFEINE AVOID IN CHILDREN" and "CONTAINS SWEETENERS, NOT RECOMMENDED IN CHILDREN", among others .
